Editor and Videographer

Hi there! I’m a freelance editor and videographer with a background in marketing, which I’ll use to make professional and informed decisions about your brand!

Who am I?

I’m Alex, and I used to want to be a philosopher. When I realised that wasn’t really a job nowadays, I thought I’d settle for being an editor.

I’ve always created things. When I was a child, I picked up photography and annoyed my relatives with it. When I was a teen, I made an inter-connected series of short films with my friends. As an adult, I’ve never stopped creating.

I graduated Keele University with a First Class degree in Film and won the Shane Meadows (This is England, The Gallows Pole) Prize for Film Studies.

I’ve created content for social media, edited advertisements, even filmed for research projects so nothing is particularly far from my wheelhouse. My creative background combined with my years of marketing experience give my work a competitive edge, allowing me to tap into both the commercial and artistic elements of video.

What can I do for you?

The Services I Offer

Wherever your project is, whether you have footage yet or not, I offer services to get your project completed.

Pre-production – You give me a brief, I will turn it into a bespoke script, a storyboard and a production schedule if needed.

Production – I have professional experience handling consumer-grade cameras, films cameras and drones, so whatever footage is needed, I can get it.

Editing – I specialise in offline editing (structure, pacing, story) but for most projects, I offer a complete editing package.

The Programs I Specialise In

Industry-standard, Premiere Pro is the program I have received high-level training and experience in am most proficient editing video

If your video involves photography, graphics or logos, I use Photoshop and sometimes Illustrator for design work.

When your project needs a little something extra, I turn to After Effects when Premiere fails, for animation, motion and effects.

I use DaVinci Resolve to get the most out of my footage, colour-grading it and tweaking to perfection, to make the subject pop.
